Our Story
We take pleasure in introducing ourselves as Jaipur Gold Leaf (JGL), eminent in the segment of gold, silver, copper, champagne and antique leafing and gilding on walls and ceilings. From a single artisan's hand in 1976, the studio has grown into travelling crews of gilders, surface specialists and sealers who work in palaces, shrines and hotels without ever surrendering the discipline of the craft.
Jaipur Gold Leaf has developed strategic processes to intricately understand the requirements of our clients and translate them into an innovative blend of contemporary art and royalty. Every project begins with the surface — its porosity, its light, its movement — because leaf thinner than a human hair mirrors everything beneath it. Only after samples are approved in your own space does gilding begin.
Under the leadership of Haji Aziz Khan, JGL has achieved considerable heights through sheer finesse and perfection. We have enhanced the process of gilding by introducing technological innovations and tools that deliver precision finishing. What began with temples, palaces, bungalows, mosques and gurudwaras has now expanded into the hotel industry, corporate houses, art galleries and premium retail spaces across India and six countries.
Our Mentor
Founder & Mentor
Our mentor Haji Aziz Khan laid the first brick of Jaipur Gold Leaf in 1976. He began gold leafing as an individual artisan, and his very first project was at the holy shrine of Khwaja Garib Nawaz, Ajmer Dargah. He went on to execute acclaimed work in the UAE, Bangladesh, South Africa and Iraq. Later years brought the concept of gold leafing on ceilings and walls back home — first in sacred places, and then across walls, pillars and ceilings in bungalows, corporate houses and the hospitality industry. Alongside his innovative son Mr. Danish Khan, he brought many new ideas to the industry. More than four decades on, he still leads a dedicated team on this journey.
Leadership
Director
As the company's Director, Danish Khan is responsible for deploying JGL's strategic vision, developing business alliances and building the management team. An expert in both artistic and interior design methodologies, he works closely with creative professionals, giving him the ability to lead a company that specialises in cutting-edge, unique artistic solutions. His pursuit of innovative design has been the foundation of JGL's growth.
